The project aims to improve water governance and management of water resources with a view to implementing strategies for sustainable development and management of water infrastructures.  It will transfer crucial knowledge and expertise for future independence in this field. Moreover, the action aims to contribute to the achievement of the  Millennium Development Goal which is committed to reduce by half, by 2015,the proportion of people without access to drinking water or basic sanitation.
