The project has three main research lines: the first investigates the extent to which various factors (determinants) affect the intensity of tourist flows among regions and the Italian provinces. The second one is meant to quantify their impact on the overall economic performance of Sardinia. The third line of research builds on the previous ones in order to single out the policy interventions, which are supposed to be the most apt to maximize the economic benefits of tourism activities.
