Information

Aula Arcari, Via S. Ignazio 86, Cagliari

The aim of the workshop is to bring together international scholars working on employment protection and collective barganing and favour scientific collaborations and exchange. The 8 papers presented will deal with the effects that employment protection and collective bargaining exert on productivity, investments in physical and human capital, and the dynamics of wage inequality within and across firms. Most papers study the effects of recent reforms of employment protection and collective bargaining that took place in Italy and Europe in recent years; thus the workshop also point to the relevance of such studies for the policy debate.

The is jointly organized by Giovanni Sulis (University of Cagliari, CRENoS, IZA), Massimiliano Bratti (Joint Research Center of the European Commission, University of Milan, IZA) and Maurizio Conti (University of Genova and previously at JRC, European Commission).
