The Department of Economics and Business of the University of Cagliari and CRENoS will host the third edition of the Sardinian Empirical Trade Conference.

This is a sister conference to EIIT, which takes place in the Fall of each year in North America and EITI this March in Japan. Economists specializing in empirical international economics will present their latest research at this meeting. These conferences are offered under the rubric of the Forum for Research on Empirical International Trade (www.freit.org).

The conference is open to other attendees whose papers are not on the program. There is no entry fee, but space is limited and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis for those not on the program. Please let the organizer know if you will be attending.

Conference format: The conference will begin in the morning on Thursday and will continue through mid day on Saturday. The program will include a total of 15 papers, with one hour per paper devoted to presentation, discussant remarks, and open discussion. The usual allocation of time is 40 minutes for the presentation, 10 minutes for the discussant, and 10 minutes for open discussion. The keynote speakers of this year edition of the conference are Paola Conconi (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and Andrew Bernard (Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth).
